Gateway to Optimal Health - Accessible Information for Veterans
 
Time: 8:00 AM- 3:00 PM (EST)
Location: VA Flint Community Based Outpatient Clinic (2360 S. Linden Rd. Flint, MI 48532)
 
The Office of Veterans Experience and Employee Engagement is helping to create an optimal Veteran experience by having professionals onsite who will hear your concerns and/or compliments. A Patient Advocate and the Program Coordinator will be visiting the VA Flint Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) located at 2360 South Linden Rd. Flint, MI 48532 to provide face-to-face service as we work to ensure timely resolution of your concerns. The MyHealtheVet Coordinator will also be onsite to offer assistance with accessing your medical record, refilling your prescriptions, and much more!

- Questions or concerns about your healthcare, eligibility, and/or
endorsement
- Billing questions about VA and Non-VA Community Care
- Guidance for filing a disability claim
- Beneficiary Travel concerns

Location: VA Toledo Community Based Outpatient Clinic (1200 S. Detroit Toledo, OH 43614) 2nd Floor Conference Room
 
Brief Legal Advice Clinic at Toledo VA CBOC
Volunteer attorneys are available to answer legal questions for veterans. Walk-ins only, no prior registration is required. Please note that attorneys are available to answer questions only, they are not available to provide legal representation.

Whole Health Orientation Class

All Veterans, family members, service members, and staff are invited to attend "Introduction to Whole Health" which is a 2-hour class facilitated by Veteran staff peers that will be held at the VA Ann Arbor Auditorium (located on the Basement Level of the Liberty Building).

Whole Health is a different way to approach health care and encourages people to ask why it is important for you to be healthy. This approach to health care is focused on you as a WHOLE person. We want you to have the skills and the tools you need to communicate with your health care team what you need to achieve your best possible health. VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System is committed to partnering with you on the journey to Whole Health. Living life fully and optimizing health and well-being goes beyond not being sick; it means understanding what matters to you and looking at all aspects in life that contribute to a sense of well-being.

No registration or referrals are required. Just pick one of the classes being offered to attend. Drop-ins are welcome!

VA Resource & Enrollment Fair

All Veterans are invited to attend a VA Resource & Enrollment Fair on Friday, June 29th from 10AM-2PM at 1715 Lansing Ave. (2nd Floor) Jackson, MI 49202. VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System will be on site to offer health care benefits information and on-site enrollment. Initial health exams will also be offered to those Veterans who are enrolled and eligible for care. Information about Vet Center Readjustment Counseling Services will also be provided and Vet Center staff will be on site to help answer questions. Staff from the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) will also be on site to offer benefit information and assistance with filing claims or checking on the status of existing claims. Staff from Great Lakes National Cemetery will also be on site to offer burial benefits information. VA leadership will share updates between 11am-12pm at the event. The Jackson County Veterans Affairs office will also be available to provide information and assistance. All Veterans are welcome and encouraged to bring a copy of their DD214 to apply for VA benefits on site. No pre-registration is required. Walk-ins are welcome!
