About the Program

Palliative Care (pronounces pal-lee-uh-tiv) is specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses. It is focused on providing patients with relief from the symptoms, pain and stress of a serious illness-whatever the diagnosis.

Inpatient Consultation

Inpatient Palliative Care Unit

  • VAAAHS has 5 inpatient hospice/Palliative care beds
  • Veterans for whom end-of-life care cannot be met in the home
