VA and UM-Flint to Hold Veteran Benefits Overview & Resource Fair

ANN ARBOR, Mich – The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System and the University of Michigan-Flint are holding a Veteran Benefits Overview & Resource Fair on May 15, 2013, 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Harding Mott University Center on the UM - Flint campus located at 400 Mill Street, Flint, Mich.
All Veterans are welcome to attend the event, which will include presentations from the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, Saginaw, the Veterans Benefits Administration - Detroit Regional Office, the National Cemetery Administration – Great Lakes National Cemetery and the UM-Flint Student Veterans Center.
This resource fair is organized to provide Veterans with information on VA health care, education and compensation benefits, low-rate home loans and even burial entitlements. The resource fair will give Veterans the opportunity to speak with representatives from the various Veteran organizations regarding the benefits they may be entitled to.
Light refreshments will be served and guests are asked to park in the Mill Street Ramp located at 402 Mill Street. A campus map is available at http://maps.umflint.edu/MapPad.pdf.
Veterans interested in completing an application for health care benefits should bring a copy of their DD-214 and their most current tax information. Veterans can also apply online at https://www.1010ez.med.va.gov/sec/vha/1010ez/.
