The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System Diversity Advisory Committee is hosting a Black History Month Diversity Education Event on Wed, February 14, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the VA Ann Arbor Medical Center Auditorium located on the basement level of the Liberty Building. Event will include poster displays and cultural food samples. This event is free and open to the public.

Gateway to Optimal Health - Accessible Information for Veterans

The Office of Veterans Experience and Employee Engagement is helping to create an optimal Veteran experience by having professionals onsite who will hear your concerns and/or compliments. A Patient Advocate and the Program Coordinator will be visiting the VA Toledo Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) located at 1200 South Detroit Ave. Toledo, OH 43614 to provide face-to-face service as we work to ensure timely resolution of your concerns. The MyHealtheVet Coordinator will also be onsite to offer assistance with accessing your medical record, refilling your prescriptions, and much more!

VA Goes Red for Women - Heart Health Month Event

February is National Heart Health Month and VAAAHS will be partnering with the American Heart Association to share resource information and to raise awareness about heart disease prevention, especially in women. This event is free and open to the public. Please join us by wearing red to support Go Red for Women! Stop by the VA Ann Arbor Medical Center Auditorium located in the Liberty Building, basement level) anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 (we will take a group photo of everyone wearing RED at 11:15 a.m.). Activities at the event will include heart-healthy cooking demonstrations, blood pressure readings, body fat analysis, Yoga class, IRest Meditation class, hand and chair massages, and more!
