About the Program

The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System has a large, well-funded research and development program including studies in -

  • clinical and cooperative studies
  • rehabilitation

Our research program is accredited by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) and by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care.

Services Offered

Our current research studies enhance the medical center's ability to provide state-of-the-art medical techniques and treatments to veterans.

Over 425 active research projects are currently being conducted at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System in areas such as:

The Ann Arbor Center of Excellence focuses on clinical practice management issues for those conditions that account for a large proportion of the costs and preventable morbidity and mortality in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
