Academic Partners
Our primary affiliation is with the University of Michigan Schools of Medicine *, Dentistry *, and Nursing *. We are also affiliated with nearly 40 other colleges and universities. We offer residency training in all major medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties. Associated Health Training is offered in nursing, psychology, audiology, social work, dietetics, and pharmacy. More than 1,100 people receive training here each year.
All VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System physicians hold joint teaching appointments at the University of Michigan.
Veterans Service Organizations
The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System maintains a good working relationship with all of our veteran service organization (VSO) partners. We regularly brief our VSO representatives on changes impacting veterans' healthcare.
A Veterans' Advisory Council (VAC) meets quarterly and includes stakeholders from a number of veterans' groups.
